On May 12, a delegation from China Chamber of Commerce for Petroleum Industry (CCCPI) visited Aramco China, where both sides exchanged views in depth on expanding cooperation across multiple sectors and reached broad consensus.

CCCPI Secretary-General Ma Li along with the delegationAramco China Managing Director Nader Al Arfaj, Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services Saad Allowemi and representatives from Aramco Shanghai branch attended the meeting.

Ma outlined CCCPIs development history, organizational structure and membership. She said that, as a national-level industry body representing China’s private petroleum supply chain, CCCPI brings together high-quality enterprise resources across refining and petrochemicals, storage, logistics, and equipment manufacturing, underpinned by strong industrial capabilities.

She noted that Aramco is one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, and the two sides have a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation across various fields.

During the discussions, both sides agreed that China’s private-sector petroleum supply chain and Aramco are highly complementary in the global energy market. They agreed to establish a regular communication mechanism and actively explore cooperation in areas including equipment procurement, refining and storage investment, technical exchange, and engineering services. CCCPI said it would leverage its member companies to support Aramco’s development in China through industrial matchmaking and partnership facilitation.

In response to Aramco’s cooperation needs in China, CCCPI said it would provide support in policy advisory services and resource coordination. Both sides also agreed to promote youth talent exchanges to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen the foundation for collaboration, and to sign a memorandum of understanding to underpin future practical cooperation.

The meeting marks a positive start to closer ties between the two sides. Going forward, CCCPI and Aramco will work to implement the outcomes of the discussions, refine specific initiatives, and jointly promote high-quality cooperation in the energy sector.
